Do you have piles of shoes
gathering dust at the bottom of your wardrobe? Do your parents or friends hang onto shoes if they don’t even fit?
This year, the Blue Peter Shoe Biz Appeal is raising money to help thousands of very poor children in Malawi, many of whom are orphans. It’s called the Shoe Biz Appeal because we’re raising the money by recycling old shoes.
Each week, about 2 million pairs of shoes are simply thrown into the dustbin in the UK.
If you can help Shoe Biz save just 500,000 pairs
from being thrown away, thousands of very poor children in Malawi will receive the help and care they urgently need.
You find the Shoes – we do the Biz!
- Step one: collect as many pairs of old shoes as you possibly can.
- Step two: make sure all your old shoes get to Shoe Biz.
- Step three: find your nearest collection point here. More than 500 Clarks Shoe Shops are taking part!
